There are two options for loading a budget from your budget template, either via an empty template or using a row template.
Enter budget via an empty template:
Click on "Financials" then "Data Management" in the left menu.
Then click the "Budget management" tab and the "New Budget" button.
Then select business area/company, budget year and select the "Budget" option. Continue by clicking "Next".
Mark in the option "Active budget" and click "Save".
Choose between exporting to Excel or Google Sheets and check the "Empty template" option. Then click on "Download".
Open the downloaded template. Paste accounts and account names into the template from your template, enter the amounts per month and add a summary in the total column.
If distribution per month is to be made based on the previous year's outcome, it is enough to fill in the amounts in the total column and read in the template, and the system will calculate the distribution per month taking into account the previous year's outcome and seasonal variations.
Enter budget via row template:
Click on "Financials" then "Analyze" in the left menu and click on the "New Table" button.
Then click on the icon with the three dots and select the "Paste rows" option.
Copy text and office lines from your budget template - paste the lines in the pop-up box that opens - click on add lines.
If you do not have the accounts separated on their lines in the budget template, you can check "Create account groups".
The row template is then opened. Name the template and click save made changes by clicking "Save".
Then click on "Data management" in the left menu and then on the "Budget management" tab. Select "New budget".
Select business area, budget year and budget type. Continue by clicking "Next".
You are now given an opportunity to write a description, comment or put a label and choose whether the BU/forecast should be active or not. Continue by clicking "Save".
A new window will then open and to load the layout from your budget template, select "Row template without data" and select your template in the drop-down list under the heading row template
The Excel file is downloaded. Open the file and now you can paste the numbers from your budget.
Think of! Negative numbers may need to be changed as the income needs to be positive in the template you load.
To read your budget, go via "Financials" and "Data management" in the left menu. Click on the "Budget management" tab and then the "Upload budget" button.
Upload the budget file by clicking, selecting, dragging, and dropping the budget file into the box.
The budget is now loaded and you can reconcile it by clicking on the budget to get a summary over the year.
