This guide instructs you on how to activate BankID as a login method. However, you do not have to activate BankID to e-sign minutes or documents.
NOTE: If you have several user accounts, you can only connect BankID as a login method for one account. Then, you first need to deactivate BankID as a login method for the other user account. See the Deactivate BankID as a login method guide.
To use BankID as a login option, you must first log in with your email address and password. If you have forgotten your password, follow the instructions in the Password reset guide.
Activate BankID as login method, step-by-step guide:
- Log in with your email address and password
- Click on your name in the top right
- Click on "My Profile"
- Click on "Security" at the left
- In the BankID section, click on "Activate" and follow the instructions
- Start the BankID application on your mobile device, scan the QR code displayed on the homepage and identify yourself in the BankID application.
Done! BankID is now activated. You can log in by clicking "Log in with BankID" on the login page. Open the BankID application on your mobile device, scan the QR code that appears and identify yourself in the BankID application.

Start by signing in to Boardeaser with your email address and password.
Click on your name at the top right and select "My Profile".
Click on "Security" in the menu on the left.
Under BankID, click the "Activate" button.
The website will open a pop-up with a QR code. Then, you can start the BankID application on your mobile device and scan the QR code with the camera.
Scan the QR code with the mobile device
In the BankID application on your mobile device, click the "Scan QR code" button. Point the camera at the QR code on the website. Identify yourself in the BankID application.
You have now activated BankID and can log in using that method. Log out and try logging in with BankID.
Log in with BankID
To log in with BankID, click the "Log in with BankID" button on the login page.
Start the BankID application on your mobile device and click "Scan QR code." Then, scan the QR code on the website and identify yourself using the BankID application. You will then be logged in to Boardeaser.
Troubleshooting
If you receive an error message, "The personal number is already registered!" you have activated BankID as a login method on another user account.
To find out which other user account BankID is linked to, start by:
- Log out from the logged-in user account.
- Log in with BankID
- Go to My Profile. There, you can see which email address BankID is linked to.
