Budgets and forecasts are managed at "Financials" > "Budget" in the left menu. Under the "Manage budget" tab, click on the "New budget" button.
Select the business unit, budget year and budget type and proceed by clicking "Next".
Then, set the name, description, comments, and labels and select whether the budget/forecast is active. Proceed by clicking "Save."
There are several options for customizing the budget file. Choose which format the file should be exported to and what the file should contain. In addition, you can customize budget proposals with data and growth.
Then, open the budget template in Excel or Google Sheets*. Enter values in the cells, but do not link to another document or enter values in the summaries.
Upload budget file
Click on "Financials" > "Data Management" in the left menu and then the "Budget Management" tab. Click "Upload Budget" if you are working in Excel, otherwise select the "Google Sheets" tab and sync the file by clicking the two spinning arrows.
When you have uploaded a budget, Boardeaser automatically matches against monthly outcomes and accumulates for the financial year.
