Click on "Financials" and "Components" in the left menu. Under the "Graphs" tab, click on the "New graph" button.
Here you can visualize anything from the balance sheet, profit and loss report, budget, and KPIs.
Start by clicking on the field under "Add new datasource". Below are some examples of what you can create in the graph:
Predefined groupings: E.g. accounts receivable, cash and bank, etc. Click on a grouping in the dropdown menu and click the "Add" button.
Custom KPIs: Click "Default" at the top and choose from your custom KPIs.
Own formula: You can write your formulas for what you want to visualize, e.g. accounts from the bookkeeping. You can e.g. type –{3000-3999} to visualize the turnover (negative sign before making the income positive) from all income accounts. Tip: at the bottom right, you can show a RR or BR if you want to see specific account numbers in the accounting.
Multiple data sources in the same graph: If you e.g. want to include turnover and operating costs in the same graph, you first add turnover as above. Then click on the formula bar again (a new one will appear at the bottom). You can e.g. enter the formula {4000-4999} and click "add". Tip: You can remove R3 and R12 on each graph by setting them to "None".
New KPIs from data sources: You can display new KPIs in the graph by combining data, for example. Then you can write (–{3000-3999})/number of employees if you want to get turnover per employee (we have entered a separate key figure called the number of employees for the number of employees and month, respectively).
Set X and Y axis: You can control how far back and how many months ahead in time you want to include. Click on the "More settings" button. There, you can, e.g. set the X-axis to "Relative" (then you choose how far forward and backwards in time the X-axis should be) or "Fiscal year" (then you choose whether the X-axis should only show the current financial year or a few years back). You can adjust the Y-axis by selecting “Fixed” and entering min and max values.
Compare with budget or previous years: If you want to include e.g. a bar for the previous year and a line with the budget (the one you uploaded in Boardeaser via the Excel template), then click on the field "Add data source" and then "Functions". There you can scroll down and select "PrevYear(". Then you enter what you want to retrieve data for from the previous year, for example "PrevYear(–{3000-3999))" if you want to show turnover for the previous year. In the same way, you can add budget data but then select "Budget(" and then enter "Budget(–{3000-3999})".
