If you don't have access to a SIE4 file or an integration with an accounting system, it is possible to upload an Excel file with accounting data in Boardeaser instead.
Accounting template
To be able to import accounting data from Excel one needs to use the Boardeaser accounting template. This can be downloaded from "Date Management - Accounting" for each company. Press the button "Export accounting template" to download the file. The file contains a cover sheet with instructions on how to fill out the template.
Upload and define the content
Once one or more Excel files have been created, it is time to upload them. Go to "Date Management - Accounting" in the chosen company. The file is imported with the button "Upload accounting files".
Here it is possible to either click on the text to select the Excel file from the computer or drag and drop the file into the box.
Once the Excel file is selected, the system will analyse the file to see if everything is correct. It is important that the organisation selected in the box is the same as to which the accounting is being imported. When the status is "Ready to Upload", press "Upload" to import the file into Boardeaser.
When the file(s) are uploaded, an overview is shown in this view of active files and which transaction dates are in each file.
A comparison is made between the opening balance for the year against to the previous year. If there are differences, they must be corrected in the Excel file and which then needs to be uploaded again.
Now the accounting is imported into Boardeaser and dashboards, graphs or tables can be created.
