Start by exporting the template called “KPI Template” by:
Economy > Data Management > Export
Click the export button on the right. Choose whether to download the template as an Excel file or transfer it to Google Sheets (requires Google Sheets Integration). Enter the period on the time axis and then which key figures should be included, if any.
At the top of the template it might look like this (in this example there were three variables already saved):
In the top row, you will just change the dates (column D, E, F, and so on in the example above). Only months are available as time intervals. Enter the last day of the months you want to include in the same format as above, ie YYYY-MM-DD.
In the second line, there is a description text, you can delete it or leave it, but do not fill in any data on this line.
In row 3 there is an example variable called Sales (“Forsaljning” in the example above). Each variable can be either a result variable (RESULT) or a balance variable (BALANCE). The difference is that result variables apply to the dates they are given but after that, balance variables apply to all dates from the time they are stated onwards.
In row 3 you can enter the first variable. Column A indicates the variable as the system should read it, which means that the name should only contain uppercase and lowercase letters between a to z but no other characters, i.e. not å ä ö, numbers, characters/symbols, or spaces. In column B you can name the variable and all characters are allowed here. Same situation in column C where you can write a longer description. In short, what is in column A is for computers to read, but columns B and C are read by humans.
You fill in data for your variable in the cells from column D onwards, depending on how many months you filled in row 1. The data you fill in here can only be numbers and decimals.
NOTE: a value must be entered in all cells, if there is no value, enter "0" or delete the entire column (if all cells in the column do not have a value).
Continue entering as many variables/key figures as you want from line 4 and down in the same way as in line 3.
When you are done, save the file and upload it to Boardeaser in the browser again. Go to Data Management and click on "Upload KPI". The KPI variables are now uploaded to Boardeaser.
