Sometimes, you may not want to create a new group account and instead use an "Account Bridge".
Bridging an account means moving the balance from a subsidiary account to a specific group account. For example, subsidiaries may have income accounts named 3001 Sales Chairs, 3002 Sales Sofas, etc., but in the group, this may not be necessary—moreover, account names between the subsidiaries may differ. Therefore, there is the option to "Bridge account." For example, the accounts 3001 Sales Chairs and 3002 Sales Sofas can be bridged to 3000 Sales Products in the group's chart of accounts.
Start by navigating to the chart of accounts by clicking on the "Account plan" tab and then the "Account plan" sub-tab.
Select the accounts you want to bridge by clicking on the checkboxes. Then, right-click and choose "Bridge Accounts".
Next, select the group account you want to bridge into. You can also limit the bridge by time by selecting a time interval. Finally, click "Save" to save the account bridge.
