If you want to add a custom group tree to a report or dashboard, you can create a customised appearance under "Group Financials" > "Components" in the left menu. Under the "Group Tree" tab, click the “New Group Tree” button.
You will then arrive at this view.
- First, enter the Tree Name, which is what the layout will be called in the system.
- Then specify the resolution (week, month, quarter, tertial, or year). This is what the formulas are based on, and it is also shown in each company which period the key figures refer to. Resolution is the time unit on the x-axis (if you are unsure, leave it as Month). The resolution can be day, week, month, quarter, year, or financial year. If you are adding data from Google Analytics, it is important that you specify the same resolution as the analytics data has.
- Then specify the tree level, "first" or "all". That is, whether subgroups should also be shown in the group tree, or only at the first level of the group.
- Then specify how many key figures should be displayed in each company in the group tree by setting the number of rows and columns.
- Specify where the group tree should be visible: only in the organisation, at the group level, or at all levels.
- Specify number scaling. Here, you can choose between none, thousand, million, or billion.
- Finally, specify which data should be displayed in the group tree: either data retrieved from legal accounting or data imported into the group.
NOTE - If you have foreign subsidiaries and want to specify the local currency in the group tree, select "legal accounting". If you want to present the foreign company's data in the group currency, select "group accounting".
Then enter the names for each "Cell Title" that has been created, along with the formula that should calculate each title. See the image.
When the group tree is saved, it will be displayed on the Group Financials > Components > Group Tree tab.
