This function requires activating the Fortnox Integration product in Boardeaser and obtaining an integration license from Fortnox.
With the Fortnox Integration, accounting data can be transferred from Fortnox to Boardeaser with one click. This avoids exporting a SIE4 file and import to Boardeaser.
Activate Fortnox integration
Log in to Boardeaser and go to the Board room for the current organization.
Press "Administration" and "Product Shop" on the left menu. Then click the "Integrations" tab. Look for "Fortnox Integration" and click the "Activate" button.
Once the extension is activated, click "Administration" in the left menu and then "Integrations".
You can also click "Integrations" under "Administration" in the left menu.
Select Fortnox from the possible integrations and click "Activate". You will now be forwarded to Fortnox. You can just log in there and approve Boardeaser's integration.
Do you want to be able to see the customer and supplier invoices in Boardeaser?
Activate the extension "Invoice" and "Verification attachment" when you activate the integration.
See this guide on how to import accounting data and invoices from Fortnox.
Settings in Fortnox
In Fortnox, an integration license is required for the organization, and an accounting license and administrator authorization are required for those who connect the systems.
The user in Boardeaser needs permission to download files.
In addition to that, these are the things Boardeaser needs access to in Fortnox:
- Archive location = Load files from Fortnox (invoices, attachments)
- Accounting = Load accounting from Fortnox
- Invoice = Load invoices from Fortnox
- Settings = Manage settings
- Link files = Link files to, e.g. accounting (see Archive location)
- Customer = Identify customer via org number against invoice
- Supplier = Identity supplier via org. number against invoice
- Supplier invoice = Load supplier invoices from Fortnox
Error messages
If an error message appears saying that the user doesn't have permission to export files, it means that the settings in Fortnox aren't correct, and they need to be corrected before the user can export the accounting to Boardeaser.
When integration is activated in Fortnox, the permissions that the integration gets will be based on the user who activated the integration. Whoever activates the integration needs to have authorization for accounting; otherwise, you're not allowed to export SIE files, and Boardeaser will not have access to do either.
The integration must then be reactivated in Fortnox by a user with an accounting license. To reactivate the integration in Fortnox, you go under "administer integrations" → Click on the Boardeaser integration →Break all connections.
Then, someone with accounting authorization can activate it again. After that, you need to reactivate the integration in Boardeaser again.
If it concerns the permissions for a single user, these need to be updated in Fortnox, and then the user can try to import the accounting again.
For more error messages, please look at Troubleshooting integration with accounting systems.
Reactivate or changes to the integration
To reactivate the integration in Boardeaser, first deactivate it and then activate it again. See the instructions above for where to find the integration.
If one or more of the four categories aren't to be used, for instance, if the organization doesn't have the required licenses in Fortnox, click deactivate after the category to deactivate it. One must not deactivate the whole integration just to remove a category.
