Below, we have compiled a checklist to go through if your formula is displaying incorrect data or cannot be added:
- Have you used the correct brackets, that is, used the right ones for balance accounts and profit and loss accounts respectively?
- Have you entered the account range correctly?
- Is the function, for example, Ack(expression), written correctly?
- Do you have a tag on a business area or a budget that has been removed?
- Have you accidentally made the formula negative or positive?
- In a simple mode, have you ticked the correct balance or profit and loss?
The formula cannot be added
When the formula cannot be entered or is incorrect, you will see a red box
In the case above, I forgot to add a curly bracket at the end of the formula, so I cannot add it.
Undefined in the formula
The account or variable changes to undefined when the formula is saved. This is because the system cannot visually handle formulas containing any of: T_ OG_ G_ W_ (capital letter followed by an underscore). The data displayed will be correct, but it will look strange visually in the formula.
To resolve this, rename the formula or create a new variable and add it to the formula.
