This guide explains how to clear the content of a share register in Boardeaser. To empty the share register, all registered actions must be unlocked and removed manually in reverse chronological order.
Important to know before you start:
- Reverse chronological order: Actions must be unlocked and deleted one by one, starting with the most recent action first.
- Larger share registers: If your share register contains many actions, each action must be unlocked and removed manually from last to first.
Table of contents
1. Delete actions in the share register
To empty the share register, remove all registered actions one by one:
- Go to Shareholder Register in the left menu and click on the Actions tab.
- Locate the most recent actions at the top of the list.
- If the action is locked, unlock it first. Click on the Lock button on that specific action.
- Click the three dots (···) to the right of the action and select Remove.
- Confirm the deletion in the pop-up dialog by clicking Remove.
- Repeat these steps for the next action in the list until all actions have been deleted.
After you delete the last action, the system displays an empty view. The share register now contains no registered transactions or shareholders.
2. (Optional) Change or reset share classes
After you delete all actions, the share register is empty, but the defined share classes (e.g. Class A, Class B) remain in the settings.
If you want to completely delete or modify the share classes after clearing the share register, see the guide Manage company information in the share register.
